Ilrak's Coat of Gender (and Alterhumanity)

Based off of the Coat of Gender idea from Orion Scribner and Manic-pixie-dream-churl on Tumblr

A heraldric-styled image in the form of a coat of arms. Two ravens with peacock tails and crests flank a white diamond. Inside of the diamond is a ceratosaurus roaring in front of a purple nebula. On the top and bottom of the diamond is a banner. The top banner says Ilrak' and the bottom banner says 'They/Them'

I really liked the idea of doing this after seeing Page and Nova's Coats of Gender and decided to do one of my own. The shape of the shield is less for the feminine ideal and more to represent one of the shapes I often see stars represented (tying into the stars in the background as well as a facet of my alterhumanity that I'm still trying to put words to. The use of the nonbinary and bisexual flag colors are nods to my gender and sexuality (and also happen to be my favorite colors - especially purple).

The ravens with peacock tails represent a connection to my family in this life (peacocks are allegedly a family symbol), my love of peafowl and my most prominent kintype (raven), as well as a nod to the fable of the Peacock and the Crow and my eternal quest for self-acceptance of all facets of myself.

The ceratosaurus is my secondary kintype and represents a part of me that refuses to be restrained by my own self-doubts. But mostly it represents my secondary kintype.

The nebula in the back is representative of the third kintype that feels like an underlying type for the other two and is also my sense of peace with myself that I strive to achieve and a reminder to keep a galaxy's eye view of the small worries in my life life.
